The complex electrical work for The Hi'ilani EcoHouse is managed by Mattos Electrical LLC., of Hilo, Hawaii. The Hi'ilani power and control system includes 120 volt AC systems, 24 volt DC systems, and a large data network, all working together to power and control the house's sustainable energy systems.

 

The water supply, energy supply, pumps, lighting systems and the motorized eco-cooling louvers are all computer controlled over a distributed data network.

 

Father and son team Ernie and Sheldon Mattos provided the expertise required to plan and direct the layout for all electrical and data connections prior to the pouring of the foundation.

 

Mattos Electrical is also the installer for all solar panels and the solar power control systems.
